The maritime world has been rocked by numerous reports of piracy across the world. The Gulf of Aden, in particular the Somali coast, has been the main focus of concern in recent years. Despite efforts to reduce the number of attacks through naval patrols, the area remains among the most hazardous in the world, suffering approximately 90 acts of piracy reported by the end of November.
